After School Programs

RodneyStreet’s after school program consists of on-court tennis instruction, life skills and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) activities, for Pre-K-12th grade students. We work closely with families and schools to create a supportive environment for each child to learn, grow, and develop a healthy lifestyle. In addition to building each child’s abilities in tennis, our program offers life skills and STEAM activities so that student’s stay on track for graduation. Our coaches build upon this by instilling leadership, teamwork, and perseverance while our participants are on the tennis courts. Each of our certified coaches provides instruction aimed to develop each player’s skills and confidence.

Programs meet on average three days a week and are open to ages 6 to 18 (please contact us if you have a child younger than 6 interested in our program prior to online enrollment). We have skill instruction and enrichment to meet needs of beginner through advanced!

Please feel free to contact us with any questions about our current programming

Work Force Development Program

Work Force Development

RodneyStreet partnered with DHSS as a site for the DelawareWork Ready Program. Teens must be eligible through DHSS criteria to be paid. Other teens can participate in the program if they are enrolled in RodneyStreet Programming. We are walking our teens through workforce development training to educate them on soft skills such as: communication, adaptability, leadership, time management, dress for the job, finance/budgeting, etc. This will prepare them for the work environment and make them more marketable. After 12 weeks of training, they will begin “on the job training” as Program Counselors with RodneyStreet or they will be placed at a worksite.

Read more about the program below and email us at admin@rstta.org if you are interested in applying!
